Arsenal are plotting a convincing new bid for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, while Feyenoord turn to Chelsea for their Tyrell Malacia replacement – both in all the latest Euro Paper Talk.

NEW ARSENAL, MILINKOVIC-SAVIC BID

Arsenal are eyeing a second bid for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic which they hope will persuade Lazio to sell their star midfielder, according to a report.

The Gunners are looking to add the final pieces to their puzzle under manager Mikel Arteta to try and finish in the Premier League’s top four and get back in the Champions League, after coming so close last season.

Arsenal have already addressed their goalscoring concerns with the £45million Gabriel Jesus signing.

Arteta and transfer chief Edu are therefore now looking for a top midfielder to follow Fabio Vieira into the ranks. Indeed, Serbia international Milinkovic-Savic and Leicester’s Belgian star Youri Tielemans appear to be at the top of Arsenal’s shortlist.

Previous reports said that Arsenal have had an offer worth up to €55million (£47million) for Milinkovic-Savic rejected. Fabrizio Romano then claimed that Tielemans is the priority target because the Milinkovic-Savic deal will prove “complicated”.

According to an update from Il Messaggero, though, Arsenal are planning to offer as much as €65million (£55.6million) for the Lazio star.

And that bid would reportedly be enough to convince the Serie A side to sell up.

Given the arrival of Vieira for £34million and the reported interest in Milinkovic-Savic – taking their midfield spend this summer to around £89.6million – Arsenal would unlikely go after Tielemans as a third addition in that area.

Milinkovic-Savic has built up a raft of experience in Serie A after seven years with Lazio. He would subsequently prove an experienced Arsenal addition to freshen up their midfield.

Ruben Neves of Wolves is another reported midfield target for Arsenal.
