Two of the early Champions League contenders go head-to-head this afternoon. Hertha gave as good as they got in a 3-2 defeat against Bayern last week while Schalke were beaten by Dortmund. With the gap between the top three and the rest starting to widen, both of these sides would like to move clear of the mid-table pack.
On TV? Nope — BT Sport 1 have Werder Bremen v Hannover instead (Sunday, 4.30pm).
La Liga: Atletico Madrid v Athletic Bilbao
Diego Costa is as good a reason as any to watch La Liga at the moment. The Brazilian — or is he Spanish? — has 12 goals in 11 games so far this season, leaving Atletico one point behind Barcelona in second place.
Are they genuine contenders? Tomorrow’s game against fifth-placed Bilbao will be a good indicator.
On TV? No.

Serie A: Torino v Roma
This is simple — for as long as Roma keep winning, they are going to be our Serie A game to watch.
Rudi Garcia’s side set a new league record of 10 opening season wins by beating Chievo on Thursday evening. It’s a quick turnaround but they can make it 11 from 11 against Mick Wallace’s Torino tomorrow.

Ligue 1: Lille v Monaco
Third plays second in Sunday’s late game in France. Monaco are one of only two unbeaten sides after 11 games in Ligue 1, largely thanks to Radamel Falcao and Emmanuel Riviere who have 14 goals between them.
Lille are unbeaten in their last six in all competitions. Should be a good ‘un.
On TV? BT Sport 2
