·1-min read

West Ham have qualified for the Europa League group stage for the first ever time, and European competition proper for the first time in 22 years.

A superb Premier League campaign under David Moyes have raised expectations far beyond what was thought possible, and the Hammers have started the new domestic season in a similar fashion.

So, who lies in wait in today’s draw?

Who can West Ham face in the Europa League draw?

Pot 1: Lyon, Napoli, Bayer Leverkusen, Lazio, Dinamo Zagreb, Olympiacos, Monaco, Braga

West Ham will face one of the top seeds.

Pot 2: Celtic, Eintracht Frankfurt, Red Star Belgrade, Leicester City, Rangers, Lokomotiv Moscow, Genk, PSV

West Ham missed out on this Pot due to their limited experience in European football. The only team they definitely won’t face in this grouping is Leicester.

Pot 3: Ludogorets, Marseille, West Ham, Real Sociedad, Real Betis, Fenerbache, Spartak Moscow, Sparta Prague

WithWest Ham in Pot 3 they will not be drawn with any other team from the same pot.

Pot 4: Rapid Wein, Galatasaray, Legia Warsaw, Midtjylland, Ferencvaros, Royal Antwerp, Sturm Graz, Brondy

The supposed weakest teams in the draw, West Ham will still be looking for a favour in Istanbul.
