British Eurosport’s comprehensive coverage of cycling, tennis and the London 2012 Olympic Games this year meant that we captured the success of Jessica Ennis, Mo Farah, Andy Murray and Bradley Wiggins. Viewers have an opportunity to relive their magical moments this week in high definition.
First up, we’ll take a look back at Murray’s extraordinary win against Novak Djokovic in the final of the US Open back in September. The victory ended Britain's 76-year wait for a male Grand Slam singles champion and crowned a remarkable year for the Scot in which he also took home a gold medal at the London 2012 Olympic Games.
Following that programme we’ll revisit one of the unforgettable memories of the London 2012 Olympic Games, the ‘Super Saturday’ back in August when Team GB delivered three gold medals in what Sebastian Coe described as the “greatest day” of sport he had ever witnessed. Viewers can see Ennis be crowned heptathlon champion all over again and watch once more as Farah stormed to that historic victory in the 10,000m.
Last, but certainly not least, we’ll be broadcasting Bradley Wiggins: Tour de Force, a programme dedicated to Wiggins becoming the first ever British rider to win the Tour de France. ‘Wiggo’ later went on to become the most decorated Olympian in the country’s history after his gold in the Olympic time-trial.
The three programmes will be repeated back-to-back on Saturday afternoon.
