Everton midfielder Tom Cleverley will sign for Watford on a permanent basis if he plays one more game for the Hornets before the end of the season, according to reports .
The 27-year-old is currently on a six-month loan at Watford after failing to impress new Everton manager Ronald Koeman leading up to the January transfer window.
Despite being unfancied on Merseyside, Cleverley has been a success so far at Vicarage Road, providing two assists including one in the famous win over Arsenal at the Emirates.
He has made eight appearances for Watford following his loan-switch in January, and if he plays once more it should trigger a permanent switch from Everton.
Once the loan deal went through a figure of £10m was suggested for a permanent switch, according to reports .
Watford defender Craig Cathcart was excited at the prospect of Cleverley moving permanently, hailing his quality and work rate in midfield.
“It will be a big addition if he comes in permanently." he said.
“You can see the quality he brings to the team and how he keeps it ticking over in midfield with his work rate. He will be a good signing for the club.”
