Liverpool gets back to business in the Premier League this afternoon, and the good news for Arne Slot is nearly all of his players have returned from the international break in one piece.

The Reds will be aiming to maintain their perfect record as they face Nottingham Forest at Anfield. Three wins out of three so far have left them level on points with Manchester City at the top of the table, and they’re yet to concede a goal this term.

Will they be able to pick up where they left off before the international break? Slot will certainly hope so, although he was handed one big concern over the past week or so.

News of Alexis Mac Allister missing training with Argentina did not fill Liverpool fans with too much confidence last week, although the midfielder did go on to feature in both of the world champions’ fixtures against Chile and Colombia.

Having returned to Merseyside this week, Mac Allister has shown no ill effects and has been back training with his teammates. Slot confirmed in his press conference on Friday that he expects the 25-year-old to be available later today.

The Liverpool boss will definitely be without one option in the middle of the park though. Harvey Elliott has been ruled out until late October after fracturing his foot while on England U21 duty.

The 21-year-old has played just seven minutes for the Reds so far this season, but with the fixtures coming thick and fast as the Champions League gets underway, he would certainly have got more chances over the coming weeks.

While Elliott misses out, Curtis Jones should be back in the fold after missing the last two games against Brentford and Manchester United. The midfielder returned to training earlier this week, and has been looking sharp in behind-the-scenes footage released by the club.

Another player to have caught the eye in training has been Federico Chiesa, with the Italian eyeing up his first involvement in a Liverpool matchday squad this weekend. He had to watch on from the stands at Old Trafford after being deemed not quite ready for action, but he’ll be aiming to make his debut today after choosing to stay put at the AXA Training Centre during the international break.

Slot therefore has a nearly fully-fit squad to choose from today, and will have to think carefully about his selections as he begins a busy period. Here, Liverpool.com brings you the full list of senior players available to the Reds boss this afternoon:
