Every Liverpool player available vs Bournemouth amid Alisson hint and Darwin Nunez instructions
Liverpool will be aiming to banish the demons of last weekend’s surprise defeat to Nottingham Forest as they return to Premier League action against Bournemouth later today.
The Reds suffered their first setback under Arne Slot as a lackluster display saw them go down 1-0 at Anfield seven days ago. Having returned to their best against AC Milan in the Champions League in midweek though, they’ll now be eager to show that defeat was a mere blip in what has been an otherwise encouraging start under their new head coach.
With Manchester City taking on Arsenal tomorrow, the door could be open for Liverpool to leapfrog one of their title rivals this weekend, albeit still at a very early stage of the season. If Slot’s side is to beat Bournemouth though, they look as though they’ll have to do it without one of their key men.

The Reds look set to be without Alisson Becker this afternoon, with the goalkeeper having missed training following Tuesday’s win in Milan. The goalkeeper has been suffering from a minor injury picked up before the trip to Italy, which has since been aggravated.
The Brazilian was not in training again on Friday, all but confirming his absence for today’s game. Caoimhin Kelleher therefore looks likely to deputize, just as he did on a number of occasions last season.
With Kelleher stepping up to start, Vitezslav Jaros could earn a place in the matchday squad as his backup. The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Sturm Graz, and was in the Czech Republic’s squad for Euro 2024 during the summer.
Elsewhere, Harvey Elliott remains out with a fractured foot, with the England U21 international not expected back until late October. With the games coming thick and fast now, the 21-year-old may well have found more game time over the coming weeks.
It’s as you were for the rest of the squad though, with Slot’s side likely to take on a familiar look to recent games. Kostas Tsimikas and Cody Gakpo will be hoping to retain their spots in the starting XI, having replaced Andy Robertson and Luis Diaz in Milan.
Federico Chiesa made his Liverpool debut that night with a cameo off the bench, and will be aiming to make his Premier League debut today. Darwin Nunez will also be looking to gain more game time – the Uruguayan is still yet to start a game this season, with Slot telling him what he needs to do to force his way into the side.
