Dominik Szoboszlai has admitted that he wants to play with Mohamed Salah as long as he can after the Liverpool star's match-winning performance. The Egyptian scored twice to help the Reds edge past Southampton in a 3-2 win at St Mary's.

The 32-year-old netted two second-half goals, including a penalty nine minutes from time, to complete the comeback for Arne Slot's side. Salah continues to face contract uncertainty as his current deal at Anfield expires at the end of the season.

From January, the record-breaking Liverpool forward can enter negotiations with overseas clubs over a possible pre-contract agreement. In recent years, interest from Saudi Arabia has increased as they look to lure the Egyptian to the Saudi Pro League.

He added: "It's a great feeling but it's the beginning of the season. We still need to continue and just don't think where City, Arsenal or other teams are. As long as we do how we do now, we're going to continue. Of course (main title rivals), in the last six years they've won five or four - I don't even know. It's never finished until it's finished."
