Former NFL running back Darren McFadden was arrested early Monday morning on suspicion of DWI, jail records show, after he allegedly was found asleep behind the wheel of his vehicle at a Whataburger drive-thru, multiple media outlets reported Tuesday.

McFadden, 31, was arrested by police in McKinney, Texas, north of Dallas, on misdemeanor charges, including driving while intoxicated and resisting arrest, search or transport. He was booked at the Collin County jail at 12:13 a.m. CT Monday but was released after he posted a $2,000 bond.

According to the reports, police were called by employees at the Whataburger after they noticed a man asleep in the drive-thru lane. When police arrived, that's when McFadden reportedly resisted being arrested.
