Fernando Alonso has set the fastest time of Friday’s second practice session in Bahrain. Here are the complete results from FP2.

Alonso was the talk of the desert as Aston Martin took pre-season testing by storm and the hype machine is only being cranked up further following a very positive display on Friday practice day at the Sakhir circuit.

The two-time World Champion finished a tenth clear of nearest rival Max Verstappen, while FP1 leader Sergio Perez rounded up the top three.

Four tenths back was Charles Leclerc in the Ferrari with Nico Hulkenberg in close quarters in P5.

Lance Stroll, still battling with injuries sustained in a recent cycling accident was a very respectable P6. Rounding off the top 10 were Pierre Gasly, Lewis Hamilton, Lando Norris and Zhou Guanyu.
