The F1 2023 is officially underway! Check out the full race results and the official standings after the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Max Verstappen’s title defence got off to the perfect start with a very straightforward win at Sahkir, finishing ahead of team-mate Sergio Perez who completed a Red Bull 1-2.

After a tricky start which involved contact between Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso, the two-time World Champion was able to hunt down Lewis Hamilton and Carlos Sainz to finish P3 on the podium, the opportunity first appearing after an agonising DNF for Charles Leclerc.

Esteban Ocon and Oscar Piastri were the race’s other retirements, while Sainz, Hamilton, Stroll, Russell, Bottas, Gasly and Albon were the other drivers finishing in the points-paying positions.
