We’ve looked at the youngest podium finishers and youngest drivers to start a race. Now, for this F1 quiz, we are looking for the 10 youngest drivers to set a fastest lap.

Records are made to be broken. And these days, a lot of the ‘youngest so-and-so…’ records are broken fairly often.

Whether you want to put that down to immense talent or the advancement of the cars, that’s up to you.

But the fact is, every team is looking for that next big thing, and that means bringing young drivers in as soon as they feel they are ready for it.

Fastest laps are often focused on too much in an F1 race. There is a bit of emphasis on them now that they are worth a point if finishing in the top 10. Other than that, though, they just feel like another stat.

But that’s not entirely true. It may not be a race win, but getting fastest lap does come with some bragging rights over the others that they were capable of going quicker. A small victory, but a victory nonetheless.

Sometimes for a team not competing for race wins, the fastest lap means a lot to them and isn’t a small victory but a good sign that they do have the pace.

And the same goes for the younger drivers. If they can achieve a fastest lap in race, then they will feel like they can in fact hang with the big boys.

For this F1 quiz, we want you to name the 10 youngest drivers to set a fast lap in a Formula 1 Grand Prix.

If you want another challenge, try out the last challenge: Martin Brundle’s 9 podium finishes.

Our the daily Sportword, Planet Sport’s word guessing game where you must work out the F1-themed word in six guesses.

Good luck!
