Fabio Borini responds in most epic way after getting abuse from his own fans

Sunderland striker Fabio Borini had the perfect answer after being taunted by his club's own fans on Wednesday.

The Black Cats and relegation are sure to officially partner soon, and their 1-0 loss against Middlesbrough at the Riverside Stadium didn't help improve the mood in the slightest way.

Boro fans are also resigned to heading to the Championship after a solitary season back in the Premier League. And both sets of supporters trolled both themselves and the opposition with chants regarding the dreadful drop.

Borini, meanwhile, had his chants reserved for something else. The 26-year-old Italian scored against West Ham on the weekend and sprinted towards the team dugout thereafter in what was interpreted as a response to being started on the bench.

After Wednesday's loss, Sunderland fans sang:

"You're not fit to wear the shirt" as the attacker made his way towards the tunnel.

His response was simple. All he did was hand said shirt to a young Boro fan.

Well, that's gotta hurt.
