The US Darts Masters kicks off in New York this Saturday, as 16 players go head-to-head for the £60,000 prize fund. The line-up is made of eight PDC players and eight North American representatives, who will compete in a knockout format at the Hulu Theatre. Nathan Aspinall is the defending champion having bettered Michael Smith 8-4 in the 2019 final, but with this year's event being the first to be involved with the 2022 World Series of Darts, more is on the line than ever before. Fallon Sherrock was one of the eight PDC players selected to compete, and while the 27-year-old hasn't enjoyed the best of seasons in 2022 so far, she expressed her excitement at having the opportunity to impress across the lake.

Speaking ahead of the June tournament, Sherrock said "I think it is still important to show I have that game in me and to show it on that big stage. "They are all going by what I did a few years back but I played well in the Grand Slam and the Worlds last year but I didn't get over that line. "I can't get distracted, I need to put my game face on and pick up a few wins." But while darts will obviously be Sherrock's priority over the weekend, the 'Queen of the Palace' is also looking forward to enjoying the New York experience.

"I've never been to New York - the only place I've been to beyond Europe is Asia." added Sherrock. "I just want to go to McDonald's and buy a hot dog from a hot dog stand, like the ones I've seen in the movies. "I want to see the big statue (of Liberty) and stuff like that because I don't know whether I'll ever get the chance to go again." Sherrock will be joined by world No.1 Peter Wright on her trip across the Atlantic, while Gerwyn Price, James Wade, Michael Smith, Gary Anderson and Jonny Clayton will also make the trip. Michael van Gerwen rounds up the eight PDC representatives, with the Dutch star looking to add another title to his record before undergoing surgery later in June.
