Fantasy Football Rankings Week 14: Wide receiver
Fantasy Football Rankings Week 14: Wide receiver
Congratulations -- you've made it to the fantasy playoffs. The easy part is over. Once you look at our Week 14 fantasy WR rankings, you'll long for the good ol' days when start 'em, sit 'em decisions were made for you by byes and your own sense of who a "must-start" wide receiver is. At this point in the year, you'll be second-guessing every roster move, and given the matchups (and recent performances) of some of fantasy's top WRs, you'll be third- and fourth-guessing yourself until next Sunday.
Of course, injuries also are a big factor at this point in the season, and several stud receivers -- Adam Thielen (hamstring), T.Y. Hilton (calf), JuJu Smith-Schuster (knee), Julio Jones (shoulder), and Golden Tate (concussion) -- didn't even suit up last week. Throw in tough matchups for studs Tyreek Hill (@ Patriots), Amari Cooper (vs. Bears), Allen Robinson (vs. Cowboys), DeAndre Hopkins (@ Broncos), DJ Chark (vs. Chargers), and Michael Thomas (vs. 49ers) in Week 14, and this could be a rough week for a lot of key pass-catchers.
Fantasy owners can't do much about that, as those players likely won't (and shouldn't) be sat. But borderline players, such as Marquise Brown (@ Bills), Michael Gallup (@ Bears), Sammy Watkins (@ Patriots), Will Fuller (@ Browns), Dede Westbrook (vs. Chargers), Larry Fitzgerald (vs. Steelers), and more are going to be tougher calls. Fortunately, most of those players are coming off bad weeks, so it makes it easier to sit them if you have better options.
Filling in the gaps will be WRs with favorable matchups, namely A.J. Brown/Corey Davis (@ Raiders), James Washington (@ Cardinals), Curtis Samuel (@ Falcons), Jamison Crowder/Robby Anderson (vs. Dolphins), Deebo Samuel (@ Saints), Sterling Shepard (@ Eagles), and Marvin Jones (@ Vikings). There are several other deeper sleepers you can try, including Allen Lazard (vs. Redskins), Tim Patrick (@ Texans), Allen Hurns (@ Jets), Zach Pascal/Marcus Johnson (@ Buccaneers), Russell Gage (vs. Panthers), Darius Slayton (@ Eagles), and Nelson Agholor (vs. Giants).
We'll know more about availability as the week progresses, and just as important will be monitoring defenses for any key losses. Weather will also certainly be a factor this time of year. Put it all together, and it won't be easy finding three or more WRs for the week, but we'll do our best to help you figure it out.
Reminder: Check back for rankings updates throughout the week.
