Fantasy Premier League tips: Transfer and captain options for FPL gameweek 9 deadline today

The Premier League resumes later today after the international break gave FPL players plenty of time to mull over their teams.

Transfers made early in the window could easily succumb to injuries with bosses likely to keep their cards close to their chest as to who has returned from their national team with a niggle.

The advent of both the Manchester and north London derbies this weekend also means a host of FPL favourites are facing off against each other, meaning so-called easy points are at a premium.

The deadline in FPL gameweek 9 is later today at 11am on Saturday, October 1.

Here are our Fantasy Premier League tips for GW9...

Mohamed Salah - Liverpool - £12.9m

Three blanks in six games, thousands of transfers out and fewer points than Pascal Gross. Who would have seen this coming for Salah at the start of the season (apart from the smug few who ditched him at the right time)? The fun thing about this gameweek is the aforementioned derbies but Liverpool have a relatively comfortable clash at home against Brighton, against whom Salah has six goals and five assists in ten meetings.

Marcus Rashford - Man United - £6.6m

Patrick Bamford, Philippe Coutinho, Anthony Martial... These are just some of the players more expensive than Rashford in FPL right now. Injury issues may arise but he was, as a result, spared from international duty, while he has a couple of goals at the Etihad in his bag. Worth a go.

Bukayo Saka - Arsenal - £7.8m

Arsenal winger Saka has nabbed a goal or assist in each of his last four Premier League games to low-key rack up good points of late. More confidence should come from his England cameo ahead of the north London derby.

Luis Sinisterra - Leeds - £6.5m

After a gradual introduction to the team, Sinisterra has scored in back-to-back Leeds games now he has a starting role. A trio of goals for Colombia over the internationals keep the winger on good form and a six-day gap before facing Aston Villa should provide plenty of time to recover from the travel.
