The Premier League season is only three matches in but various Tottenham Hotspur players already feature among the top statistics from the competition.

Spurs have so far secured a mixed bag of results in the English top flight in the 2024/25 campaign with a frustrating 1-1 draw at Leicester, a resounding 4-0 at home against Everton and then a 2-1 defeat at Newcastle despite dominating the game at St James' Park.

The Premier League released a bundle of stats this week and in the main categories of goals and assists, Tottenham have players in joint third with captain Son Heung-min having scored twice and James Maddison having provided two assists.

Spurs can also boast the second fastest player recorded in the Premier League this season so far and it's not Dutch centre-back Micky van de Ven, who topped the race in the competition last time around. At this point in the campaign, it's German winger Timo Werner, who recorded a top speed of 35.69 km/h. He was beaten only by Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, who was clocked ever so slightly faster at 35.74 km/h.

Son turned up again in another category, coming joint second in shot conversion rate from more than five shots, with 40% of his efforts. He was tied with Brighton's Joao Pedro and Aston Villa's Jhon Duran. That category was topped by Haaland and Brentford's Bryan Mbeumo with 50%.

Tottenham have a defender in the most passes completed category with Cristian Romero having made 226 successful passes to place him sixth. City's Manuel Akanji sits top with 289. Romero is also joint second for tackles won in the Premier League so far this season with nine. Leicester's Abdul Fatawu and Fulham's Antonee Robinson lead the way with 12.

The Tottenham vice-captain is also joint second in the league's stats for through balls, having played three, with Arsenal's Martin Odegaard leading the way with four.

Maddison also turns up again in the successful crosses category, coming in sixth place with six. Everton's Dwight McNeil leads the way with 13.

Spurs boss Ange Postecoglou will be hoping his players will be high up across plenty of the categories as the season goes on because it will mean collectively the club are moving in the right direction.
