A fault on a train has blocked the railway line on an important commuter route.

The faulty train, travelling between Three Bridges and Horsham, means the line towards Horsham is disrupted. Train services running through these stations may be delayed or diverted via Hove.

A spokesman for Govia Thameslink Railway, the operator in charge of Southern and Thameslink services, said: "If you're travelling between these stations, you will need to use an alternative route to reach your destination."

Passengers can use their ticket to travel at no extra cost on:

  • Southern services on any reasonable route to your destination

  • METROBUS routes between Three Bridges and Horsham

Disruption is expected until 8.45am.
