If you're scratching your head and looking at this new Ferrari sideways saying, "I feel like I've seen this before," your eyes aren't deceiving you. This, the new Ferrari GTC4 Lusso, isn't exactly all-new — it's the next-generation of the FF model.

The FF was famously the Ferrari you could drive on rough terrain and take up mountains for a ski trip, thanks to its all-wheel drive system. There's enough room for a small family and most of their things, too. Now, the GTC4 Lusso takes that lineage a bit further.

Along with a new name, Ferrari has blessed its all-weather model with updated lines, a new interior, and a bit more horsepower from its V12 engine. Perhaps more importantly, though, all-wheel drive Ferrari now has four-wheel steering.

To transform the FF into the GTC4 Lusso, the designers lowered the roofline and sharped the body-lines a bit. Then they fitted the iconic Ferrari taillights to the rear.

The interior also received a lovely reworking; the updated cabin boasts a "Dual Cockpit" design, which engages the passenger nearly as much as the driver. Along with the large new center screen, the passenger is privy to a personal optional display in the dash. A panoramic glass roof ensures the cabin is bright, too.

After the body lines and interiors were perfected, Ferrari designers turned their attention to performance. The V12's power output was upped from 651 horsepower to 680 ponies. That lump of Italian horsepower will push it from 0 to 62 mph in 3.4 seconds on the way to its 208 mph top speed.

Further distinguishing the GTC4 Lusso from the FF, the four-wheel drive system was modified to include four-wheel steering like that from the F12 TDF. Allowing all four wheels to steer and propel the car forward makes the car turn as fast as it can accelerate.

With all four wheels being able to pivot, the GTC4 Lusso can turn on a dime and react like a much smaller car. That means you get the benefit of a car that can seat four passengers — and their belongings — as well as try to drive like a Formula 1 car.

If you'd like to get up close and personal with the new prancing horse, you'll have to make your way to the Geneva Motor Show in Switzerland early next month, where it will make its global debut.
