McCorkell, the 10-time British women's champion, makes up part of a five-strong team. Penny Coomes and Nick Buckland, both 23, will compete in the ice dance after their fifth place at the European Championships in Zagreb earlier this year. In addition, Stacey Kemp and David King - 16th when they became Team GB's first Olympic pairs team in 16 years in Vancouver - are also named. “This is an important event for our skaters," said British performance director Hilary Selby.  "It will be at the World Championship 2013 where the decisions, based upon performance, will be made as to how many skaters and in which categories we will have representation at the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi.  "Competition at the Worlds will be tough. To qualify, each skater will have achieved a minimum technical elements score at an international event prior to the World Championships and we will be looking for them to build on their performances at the European Championships earlier this year.”
