Final Man Utd decision on Sancho sale revealed after Ten Hag patience wears thin and attacking nous is savaged
A trusted journalist has revealed what’s in store for Jadon Sancho amid claims the attacker is actually sabotaging Man Utd attacks and Erik ten Hag’s patience is wearing thin.
Expectation levels were sky high once Man Utd belatedly signed Jadon Sancho for around £73m in 2021. The Red Devils were steadfast in their pursuit of the England international who’d scored 16 and assisted 20 in the previous campaign for Borussia Dortmund.
However, Sancho is approaching the two-year mark at Old Trafford and his time in Manchester thus far can only be described as disappointing.
Sancho has returned just 15 goal contributions in 70 appearances for United. With a new striker signing poised to push Marcus Rashford back onto the left wing next term, Sancho is unlikely to be a regular starter moving forward.
The Manchester Evening News previously reported Erik ten Hag was losing patience with the 23-year-old. The fact Alejandro Garnacho is also on the rise casts further doubt on Sancho’s career in Manchester.
The MEN’s Samuel Luckhurst then wrote a scathing piece regarding four high profile Man Utd stars who must be axed this summer to ‘restore standards’.
Sancho was among the quartet, with Luckhurst claiming he’s undeserving of a third chance after two underwhelming seasons. The reporter also savaged Sancho’s attacking nous, claiming he ‘decelerates attacks’.
United are on the hunt for a top class striker this summer and a Sancho sale would go some distance to freeing up funds.
However, according to trusted reporter Ben Jacobs, Sancho’s time at Old Trafford is not likely to conclude this summer.

Man Utd not giving up on Jadon Sancho just yet
Speaking to GiveMeSport, Jacobs suggested Sancho will be given further time to prove his worth.
The addition of an out-and-out centre-forward may also help to bring the best out of Sancho who developed a superb understanding with Erling Haaland while at Dortmund.
Jacobs said: “I know we’ve heard a lot of rumours about Man Utd potentially cashing in somehow, in order to generate funds because they’re obviously looking for quite a big outlay, particularly with a more defined forward. But I don’t think that’s the case, at this point.
“Sancho has been given a clear challenge to get consistent game-time, stay fit and get back to his best and live up to his price tag.
“And then after a slightly longer period of time, and balanced against any other incomings in and around his position, things will be assessed once again.”
