Finn Azaz sends bold 'we can beat anyone' message after faith in Boro process pays off
Middlesbrough players 'trust the process' under Michael Carrick and can beat any side in the Championship on their day, according to playmaker Finn Azaz.
The Republic of Ireland international set up Emmanuel Latte Lath for the goal which gave Boro a 1-0 win over promotion rivals Sheffield United on Wednesday night. It was an important result for the Teessiders after the disappointing 2-0 defeat to Bristol City last weekend, but a win which Azaz feels had been coming.
The general consensus among the Middlesbrough players is that they have not been getting the results their performances have warranted, so he was thrilled to have played a key part in the victory over Chris Wilder's Blades.
"We're delighted to get the win," he said. "They're a tough opponent but I feel like we've deserved the win in most of the games this season so I'm buzzing to get it done today.
"I was just able to stay on the ball for a minute and watch his (Latte Lath's) movement. We know each other really well and I just saw his movement and it opened up nicely."

The three points have propelled Middlesbrough up to eighth in the Championship table, level on points with Norwich City, who they face at Carrow Road on Sunday. Three points on the road this coming weekend could see them move into the top six, and Azaz insists there is a confidence in the squad that they can be a match for anyone.
"The team performances have been good," he added. "There have been a few moments, a few lapses and the ball not going in for whatever reason. We trust the process and keep going. That's what we've tried to do every game and today we got the win, so hopefully we can build on that.
"When we're at out best, when we play we're capable of playing, we can beat everyone, so we'll go into Sunday really confident."
