First picture of Manchester United signings Marc Jurado and Alvaro Fernandez in club gear

Manchester United appear to have completed the signings of two promising youngsters in Marc Jurado and Alvaro Fernandez.

The Spanish duo were pictured together in United training gear in a photo shared on Instagram by Juardo, confirming their arrivals at Old Trafford.

Jurado has also changed his Instagram biography to 'Manchester United player' and posted an image of himself arriving in the city on Wednesday.

The 16-year-old will arrive from Barcelona having rejected a three-year offer to remain at the Camp Nou. The right-back is regarded as one of the most promising players in his age bracket.

17-year-old defender Fernandez will arrive from Real Madrid.

The duo are the latest young prospects to be lured to United this summer with Sunderland's Joe Hugill also joining the ranks.

United have hugely expanded their scouting operation in recent years as they become increasingly aware of the competition at the top end of the market.

While they remain in pursuit of marquee signings, they have also made the move to sweep up the brightest emerging players at youth level to avoid major fees in the future.
