FOOTBALL: Sam Allardyce reveals the top XI players he has managed in the Premier League

Sunderland target Big Sam has drawn heavily from his Bolton days but does include players from West Ham, Blackburn and Newcastle

Would-be Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce has been in charge of 437 Premier League matches for four different clubs.

And he has just revealed his all-time XI of players he has managed to the Barclays Premier League website, and there is no place for Kevin Nolan who played for him at Bolton, Newcastle and West Ham.

Instead, Allardyce has manned his midfield with Bolton trio Gary Speed, Jay-Jay Okocha and Fernado Hierro.

Up front, Big Sam has picked Bolton pair Nicolas Anelka and Youri Djorkaeff along with West Ham's Stewart Downing.

In defence, Allardyce has chosen one from each of the clubs he has managed: Newcastle's Habib Beye, Bolton's Ricardo Gardner, West Ham's Winston Reid and Blackburn's Ryan Nelsen.
