FOOTBALL: There's only one Bi8minghm City - fury as club mis-spells their own name on replica shirts

When Blues fan Mark Williams spent more than £100 on two shirts for his sons he expected better than to find a series of hieroglyphics replacing the club badge

Birmingham City fan Mark Williams paid £114 for two monogrammed shirts for his boys from the club shop only to discover the club had spelt their own name wrong on them.

Furious Williams told the Birmingham Mail that he was already "Very, very disappointed after all the delays with the new kit" but surely all would be forgiven once his children were wearing the same shirts as their idols.

Not so, as the replica shirts he spent a great deal of cash and time to secure had one huge error.

The badge referred to the club as 'Birminghm City', with the first 'R' doing a very good impression of an '8' or or a 'B' and the whole thing looking like it had been sewn on with a knitting needle.

Williams, who posted pictures of the offending shirts on Twitter, told the Mail: "I spent 2 hours in the club shop on Saturday getting my two boys kits with names and numbers on costing me £114 to find when we get home they can't even spell the club name right on the badge !!!!"
