The Cardiff midfielder agreed a loan move to the Highlands on Wednesday for the rest of the season.

Kiss will now go straight into the squad for Saturday's Scottish Premiership clash against Partick and Adams expects the new recruit to make an impact.

He said: "He's a player who's got a good physical presence.

"He's a central midfield player who can either sit in midfield or play as an attacking midfield player as well.

"He's one who's got a good track record at Cardiff.

"He's played in the Championship a good number of times and he's played in the Carling Cup final as well so we are delighted that he's been able to come here.

"It's taken a bit of time to get done, just with the Cardiff situation with them taking on a new manager.

"Filip's still got another year of his contract to go but he needs some game-time.

"From my point of view, it's a big coup for us to get him."

Kiss is the fourth January signing so far, following the arrival of Jordan Slew, Evangelos Oikonomou and Michael Tidser.

Adams is keen to recruit another two players before the end of the month and is currently assessing Notts County attacker Yoann Arquin.

He said: "He's up here and he's looking at us as well as us looking at him.

"We'll see how things move on towards the end of this week and into the beginning of next week."
