Jermaine Beckford is on loan at Huddersfield from Leicester

The 29-year-old, on loan from Leicester, was injured early in the second half of the Reggae Boyz' 1-1 World Cup qualifying draw against Panama in Kingston and was replaced by Derby winger Theo Robinson, also currently on loan with Huddersfield.

Beckford sustained a closed fracture of the fourth metacarpal of the left hand, but has been cleared to play against Costa Rica in a splint.

He only returned to action for Huddersfield following a two-month lay-off due to a hamstring injury as a substitute in their recent derby win at former club Leeds.

Jamaica's clash in Costa Rica is the third of 10 qualifiers for Theodore Whitmore's side, while Beckford and Robinson are expected back in Huddersfield on Thursday in time for Saturday evening's home game with Hull.
