The 21-year-old, who joined the club from Skrill Premier side Hyde in the summer, fired another hat-trick at the weekend to take his tally for the season to 19 in all competitions - second behind Scunthorpe's Sam Winnall in the Sky Bet League Two scoring charts.
"It's his second hat-trick since Christmas, unbelievable!" said assistant boss Chris Beech after Saturday's 3-0 home win against automatic promotion rivals Oxford kept Dale in third place, two points behind leaders Chesterfield with a game in hand.
Dale manager Keith Hill said Hogan's form had suffered at the turn of the year amid speculation he was bound for Peterborough, who made a bid for the forward during the January transfer window.
"It's amazing what's happened since the window shut," added Beech.
"He's concentrated, he's committed and he's doing ever so well now his mind is clear and it's evident in his performances."
