The 20-year-old full-back lost his place in the side having missed the trip to York due to suspension and was then an unused substitute in the 1-1 draw at Exeter last weekend.
But with Maxime Blanchard serving a one-game ban of his own for a red card at St James Park, Berry is set to make a return to the starting line-up with Curtis Nelson moving from right-back to partner Darren Purse.
Fletcher's options are boosted though by the return to action of left-back Robbie Williams who played 45 minutes against the Grecians having been sidelined for over two months with a stomach muscle injury.
Bournemouth loanee Mark Molesley had his loan stay extended earlier this week meaning the 31-year-old is available for the next three games.
