Football - Bidwell blow for Bees

Jake Bidwell will miss Brentford's glamour FA Cup fourth-round clash with holders Chelsea at Griffin Park through suspension.

The 19-year-old defender, on loan from Everton, was left devastated after being sent off for two yellow cards during the Bees' 2-2 draw with Leyton Orient on Tuesday night.

Bidwell's absence means a chance for former Millwall utility man Scott Barron to deputise at left-back.

Manager Uwe Rosler rested highly-rated midfielder Harry Forrester against Orient so he is expected to come back in, while defender Shaleum Logan and on-loan Fulham forward Marcello Trotta could also be recalled.

But long-serving midfielder Kevin O'Connor remains sidelined by an ankle injury and striker Farid El Alagui is still recovering from a long-term knee problem.
