Brown's side won four of their five league games to rise from eighth to third in the table, just a point behind leaders Oxford.
"In an incredibly tight Sky Bet League Two, Southend are one of five teams on 33 points in the division at the end of November."
Brown, who took the reins at Roots Hall in March, said: "I'm delighted to have won the award because it's showing we, as a team, are receiving recognition for the job we're doing.
"That's right through the team and the backroom staff. We're all working extremely hard and we're getting the rewards."
