Football - Butcher: We can end losing run

Inverness will still be without captain Richie Foran on Saturday but manager Terry Butcher is confident his players have enough about them to secure an elusive win over Hearts.

Inverness have not beaten the Tynecastle side this season with their latest meeting ending in a penalty shootout defeat in the Scottish Communities League Cup final.

That heralded a six-game run without victory for Caley Thistle, which continued with a 3-0 defeat by Motherwell last weekend.

And Butcher feels his players are determined to end that run with or without Foran, who is likely to return from a knee injury either against Dundee United on Wednesday or Ross County three days later.

Butcher said: "Richie is not going to make Saturday. We are confident that he'll be back next week at some stage.

"We have certainly missed the old veteran up there and whatever position he plays he certainly gives his all and drives the team on.

"But we have still got players who are hurting a bit after last week.

"They will want to make amends and get back out there. The pressure is on Hearts as far as we are concerned and we`ll go there and enjoy it."
