Football - Carter doubt for Robins

Cheltenham boss Mark Yates has a slight injury concern over Darren Carter ahead of Monday night's visit of Everton.

The former West Brom midfielder will be assessed in the build-up to the televised clash after being substituted just after half-time in the 1-0 defeat at Oxford on New Year's Day having picked up a facial injury.

A number of the Robins squad also sustained knocks against the U's but Yates is not too worried.

"I hope I'll have a fully-fit squad available," he said. "Darren Carter is the one who is our main concern as we speak but apart from that I should have a fully-fit squad.

"We picked up a couple of knocks and we'll see how they are.

"We haven't got too many decisions to make but we have a decent set of lads, a decent set of players and hopefully we'll be as good as we can be on Monday night."

On-loan Reading winger Jake Taylor will be available to face the Barclays Premier League side after the Robins extended his stay for a further month. The 21-year-old Welshman has played eight times for the club since arriving in November.

One player who will not be featuring is attacker Chris Zebroski, a summer signing from Bristol Rovers, who left the club on Friday by mutual consent. The 26-year-old scored six times in 22 starts.
