Football - Clarets want some Mee time

Burnley could be boosted by the return of defender Ben Mee for the all-Lancashire npower Championship clash with Blackpool at Bloomfield Road.

Mee, who endured an lengthy period on the sidelines earlier this year with medial ligament damage, suffered a further knock to his knee in the 1-1 Easter Monday draw with Nottingham Forest.

The former Manchester City youth-team captain was returning from a one-game suspension on that occasion following a derby-day red card against Blackburn and he should now be fit to come back once more.

Clarets boss Sean Dyche has no new injury worries after midfielder Dean Marney played 90 minutes on his return from a calf injury in last weekend's 3-1 triumph over Bristol City, although experienced defender Michael Duff remains out with a similar complaint.
