Danny Lennon is fully focused on the League Cup final

Lennon's side followed their semi-final win over Celtic with consecutive victories, but have only won one game in seven since then.

But they embark on a training break in St Andrews with nothing but Sunday's Hampden clash against Hearts on their mind.

"It's been a difficult challenge for the players to focus, more so in the last couple of weeks, and I totally understand that," Lennon said.

"So, no more distractions. They can totally focus on it, we can start to talk about it, we can build the game up and enjoy the week.

"And we will make sure there is no stone unturned in our preparation to do our best to bring this piece of silverware home.

"That's the point of going away early in the week. We will do a lot of our work in the next two or three days and at the tail end of the week we will get back to normality as quickly as possible."

Lennon, who is assessing Estonia winger Sander Puri in training with a view to signing the 24-year-old, added: "We have had a bit of stick in saying that we haven't probably brought our best in the league since our victory over Celtic in the semi-final.

"But we have managed to score more goals than we conceded, we have kept four clean sheets along the way, and we have been close in every single game.

"We certainly know the things we are doing well and the things we aren't doing so well and it's important come Sunday that we make sure it's ready to come together."
