Gregg Wylde is on the lookout for a new club after his Aberdeen contract was terminated

The left-sided wide player has been linked with a move to St Mirren.

A statement on the Dons' official website read: "Aberdeen FC can this morning announce that Gregg Wylde has had his contract cancelled by the club. The club wishes Gregg all the best for his future career."

Wylde joined Aberdeen in the summer amid interest from several Scottish Premiership clubs but most of his 10 appearances came from the bench.

The 22-year-old left Rangers, where he made almost 50 first-team appearances, when they went into administration in February 2012 and soon joined Bolton.

But he failed to make the breakthrough with Wanderers and his only top-team experience in England was during a loan spell with Bury.
