Football - Eccleston in line to start

Carlisle's new signing Nathan Eccleston is expected to make his first start for the club in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy tie at Morecambe.

PA Sport Report

Eccleston, signed on loan from Blackpool last week, stepped off the bench in the weekend draw against Shrewsbury and with Lee Miller (calf) and Lewis Guy (throat infection) both sidelined, is likely to be included in the starting line-up.

Manager Graham Kavanagh has no new injury or suspension problems and is not expected to make too many changes, but teenage midfielders Brad Potts and Dave Symington, both second-half substitutes at the weekend, are pushing for recalls.

Carlisle are the most successful club in the competition's history, winning twice and finishing runners-up on four occasions.
