Dave Edwards has been ruled out for up to eight weeks by a hamstring injury

The midfielder was stretchered off during the second half of Saturday's 4-1 victory at Bristol City nursing a hamstring injury, with scans now having confirmed a Grade Two tear of the muscle.

Manager Stale Solbakken told the club's official website: "It is disappointing that he picked up a bad injury.

"We don't have so many players with the experience that Dave has.

"In the last four or five games he has been up to a good standard in his performances."

Wanderers are already without the services of as many as nine players, with Tongo Doumbia, Razak Boukari, Georg Margreitter, Slawomir Peszko, Steven Mouyokolo, Wayne Hennessey, Stephen Hunt, George Elokobi and Jamie O'Hara all currently unavailable.
