Football - Fenlon demanding team effort

Hibernian boss Pat Fenlon insists all his players will have to be on top form to have a chance of lifting the William Hill Scottish Cup - not just star man Leigh Griffiths.

Much of the focus in the build-up to the final against Celtic has been on the on-loan forward thanks to an impressive campaign which saw him pick up a number of end of season awards.

Fenlon is well aware of the importance of Griffiths firing on all cylinders, as they attempt to prevent the Scottish champions from completing the double, but the Hibs boss knows the striker also needs help from elsewhere in the team.

He said: "To beat Celtic, we've got to have most of our players on their game. It's really important.

"Leigh doesn't score goals on his own, they don't just happen.

"We've got to have everybody involved and contributing to the goals, whether it's attacking wise or defensive wise."
