Football - Goals were criminal - Turner

Shrewsbury manager Graham Turner was left to rue "criminal goals" in his side's 2-1 defeat to Oldham, just their second at home in the league this season.

Town took the lead in the 16th minute through on-loan striker Gozie Ugwu's first goal for the club. But Charlie MacDonald and Danny Philliskirk scored as Oldham hit back to leave Turner frustrated.

"It's as well as we've played at home for a while. We passed the ball well and got it into good areas," he said.

"The goals, particularly the equaliser just before half-time, are criminal, to be opened up like that at the back. It's one ball through the middle.

"We've looked at Oldham and where the threats are going to come from. That's the annoying part about it.

"But the encouraging part was the way we've worked, the pace we played at and the manner which we played."
