Football - Hackett set to tough it out

Northampton manager Aidy Boothroyd has confirmed winger Chris Hackett will start at Hartlepool despite nursing a long-standing groin problem.

PA Sport Report

Hackett was forced off at half-time in last weekend's 1-0 victory over Fleetwood but is expected to play through the pain barrier.

Kevin Amankwaah, Matt Heath and Clive Platt are all back in training, although the game at Victoria Park could come too soon. Roy O'Donovan is still not ready to return from a hernia problem.

On-loan Brentford striker Luke Norris, who has scored five goals in six games for the Cobblers, will play after agreeing to stay at Sixfields until January 4.
