Football - Hogan should make Trophy tie

Rochdale striker Scott Hogan is expected to overcome a knock in time for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy clash at Port Vale.

PA Sport Report

Hogan, who has scored five goals in 11 appearances this season, sustained a minor injury in Saturday's defeat at Portsmouth, but will be in contention.

Manager Keith Hill, who has no other new injury or suspension worries, said he will not be making many changes to his starting line-up for the second-round tie, but midfield pair Bastien Hery and Peter Vincenti, plus striker Graham Cummins - all second-half substitutes at the weekend - are pushing for starts.

Dale will be without skipper Peter Cavanagh (Achilles) again and striker George Donnelly sits out the last game of his three-match ban.
