On a day when all the attention was on Arsenal and Manchester United target Wilfried Zaha after he indicated his desire to leave Selhurst Park, it was another of Palace's attacking stars who stole the show.
Moritz, 26, who signed a one-year deal from Turkish side Mersin Idmanyurdu in the summer, curled home a delicious free-kick just after the half-hour mark before repeating the trick after the break.
And Holloway admitted he was delighted with the overall performance of his side as they ended a five-match run without a victory.
He said: "The free-kicks summed up the day. I was delighted for him.
"To do one either side shows fantastic ability but you don't get that good without practising.
"I had a chat with Andre in the week and hopefully he will get up to speed and playing in the English league.
"He didn't have a pre-season but has shown what he is capable of."
