Football - Howarth content with point

Assistant manager Neil Howarth was reasonably happy with a point from a 2-2 draw at relegation-threatened Accrington as Cheltenham maintained their spot in the play-off places.

Town were second best for much of the afternoon but claimed a point thanks to Marlon Pack's double, with James Beattie also grabbing a brace for the hosts.

"It's always difficult coming to a place like this and Accrington showed that they are fighting for their survival and you could tell that with the effort they put in, they want to stay in this division," Howarth said.

"I am disappointed we haven't shown enough quality to win the game and we didn't play our best stuff until we went 2-1 behind. Then I felt we could have nicked it at the end but, with our overall performance, we didn't really deserve that.

"Both their goals were set-pieces which was disappointing for us but our second was a set-piece and it was a good header from Marlon. It would have been nice to get a third but it wasn't to be."
