Danny Lennon hopes St Mirren can take advantage of Celtic's defensive issues on Easter Sunday

Celtic have conceded three goals in each of their last two SPL games, although they came from two down to beat Aberdeen 4-3 in their most recent match.

St Mirren also hit three against Celtic recently, in the Scottish Communities League Cup semi-finals, although Neil Lennon's side gained revenge with a 2-1 victory in the William Hill Scottish Cup.

The Saints boss said: "It's always a challenge against Celtic and you always have to be at your best when Celtic come.

"They are having a fantastic season, reaching the last 16 of the Champions League, 15 points clear in the league and in the Scottish Cup semi-final. So it could be a memorable season for Lenny and Celtic.

"But they are conceding goals, which statistically for us is great, and if we manage to bring our best we can possibly capitalise on that. We will show them the respect a top club like Celtic deserve but not too much respect. There are three valuable points to play for and we want them."

Celtic will form a guard of honour to welcome their opponents on to the pitch in their first game since winning the League Cup, and the Saints players who are not in the match day squad will parade the trophy at half-time, but Lennon does not want his players to get caught up in the congratulations.

Lennon added: "It's part of the journey that we're on and the progression of the football. But we can't rest on our laurels on the back of winning a national cup.

"What we have to do is make that cup success a platform and continue our journey.

"We have eight very important league games to go. We are more points better off than this time last year but we are lower in the league. They are two key things we want to improve on."
