Football - Same again for McCarthy?

Mick McCarthy will be hard pushed to make any changes to his side for the trip to Sheffield Wednesday as Ipswich look to make certain of npower Championship safety.

McCarthy watched his side take apart promotion-chasing Crystal Palace 3-0 on Tuesday night to move up to 13th in the table - five points clear of the relegation zone with three matches remaining.

The Yorkshireman made two changes for the clash as two-goal Frank Nouble and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas came in for Jay Tabb and Michael Chopra, who recovered from respective knee and calf complaints to take their places among the substitutes.

The pair were joined on the bench by Patrick Kisnorbo, who also overcame illness to be involved in the match-day 18.

Winger Lee Martin failed to get over his ankle injury in time to feature but is expected to return to training on Friday, although the game comes too soon as he needs minutes under his belt before returning to contention.
