Football - McPake still missing for Hibs

Hibernian boss Pat Fenlon says skipper James McPake is making speedy progress as he continues his recovery from a back complaint - but cannot count on him for the home meeting with Dundee United.

The Northern Ireland international is still several weeks away from resuming playing duties but despite being ruled out for this weekend's Scottish Premiership clash is ahead of schedule.

McPake's international team-mate Ryan McGivern is back in contention for the match after featuring against Hearts last Sunday but Alex Harris has been ruled out for three months after undergoing ankle surgery.

Paul Cairney is out for a similar period with his own ankle problem but Tim Clancy (groin) should resume full training next week.
