Andy Robinson's second-half winner ensured Rovers took the spoils to go three points clear at the top of the table.

It also sealed their third win over the festive period, steadying the ship after a 5-0 defeat at Swindon on December 21.

"We were a bit casual at times during the first half, but during the second half we got into a better rhythm," said Moore. "I had a bit of a pop at the players at half-time because it wasn't at the standard we wanted.

"But second half, if the quality had just been a little bit better we could have had a few more goals."

Moore was delighted with his skipper robinson's contribution.

He said: "He keeps going and he's got that quality. It was a fantastic finish and deserved to win the game. When you consider we got beat 5-0 at Swindon, everyone thought the bubble had burst.

"But they showed tremendous character to bounce back and take nine points from the Christmas period.

"We've been stuck in the 40s for so long, but we've reached 50 points now so we need to see how quickly we can reach 60 points.

"If we're still in and around the top six when we come out of January, a realistic opportunity will be there."
