Strachan will have to make at least one change from the team that lost 2-0 to Belgium on Friday as Norwich winger Robert Snodgrass picked up a yellow card that saw him suspended.
But Strachan could pick a largely familiar team with only Celtic winger James Forrest missing training as a precaution.
Strachan said: "There are one or two to keep an eye on just now but most of us trained today.
"Only James Forrest sat out, we need to keep an eye on him every now and then.
"I tried to put in their minds how we are trying to do one or two things with the whole team, picking up from Friday.
"I can't wait two weeks until we meet again, I have to sort out things I have seen that can help us.
"I tried to do that this morning. And this afternoon, we will put a team together."
Strachan noted that some of his players were mentally and physically drained following the defeat by the classy and imposing Belgians but he has been keen to get straight back into work.
"There are areas I would like to keep the same and areas where I might have to freshen it up," the former Celtic manager said.
"We will analyse training and who did we see fresh and ready for it and who did we see tired.
"But you shouldn't be tired at this time of the year."
