Summer signings Febian Brandy, Lyle Taylor, Stephen McGinn, Sean McGinty, Jasper Johns and Conor Coady, on loan from Liverpool until January, are all hoping to be included in the matchday squad for manager David Weir's first competitive game in charge of the club.

Weir has a full-strength squad to choose from apart from defender Tony McMahon, who sustained an ankle injury in the recent friendly draw with York.

Teenager George Long will resume in goal following his first-team breakthrough last season and midfielder Michael Doyle will continue as skipper.
